To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what plans he has to meet the Scottish TUC to discuss the continuing loss of skilled engineering jobs in Scotland. [24251]

My right hon. Friend meets the Scottish TUC from time to time and officials maintain regular contacts. My right hon. Friend is therefore kept fully aware of the STUC's views on all matters concerning the Scottish economy.
