To ask the Secretary of State for Education if she will list the number of licensed teachers in each local authority and funding agency area.

Centrally held information about the number of licensed teachers in post in England on 31 March 1995 is given in the table. On 1 April 1995 responsibility for issuing new licences became the responsibility of the Teacher Training Agency.
