The Home Secretary has asked me to reply to your recent Question about the procedures that are now being followed at Wandsworth prison for any inmates suspected of being a possible suicide risk.Mr. Butler, the Director of Personnel, wrote to you on 21 March in my absence, outlining the existing procedures at Wandsworth prison in respect of an inmate regarded as a possible suicide risk. The procedures which are followed at Wandsworth have not altered since Mr. Butler's letter.
