§ Mr. Roger EvansThe latest estimate of benefit expenditure on unemployed people for the year April 1994 to March 1995 is £9,100 million. The amount includes unemployment benefit, income support, housing benefit, council tax and social fund payments but not child benefit or family credit. This information is shown in table 5 of the Social Security Departmental Report, Cm. 2813, which is in the Library.
