§ Mr. NeedhamFollowing the successful conclusion of the GATT round, my Department has carried out consultations with the trade associations representing our leading export sectors to establish which remaining barriers to trade most frustrated their members' efforts. This was the first step in a continuing dialogue with industry. The results of the consultations, and the 17W Government's strategy to deal with priority barriers will be announced shortly.
