§ Mr. Douglas HoggThe EU, with the support of a number of other countries, tabled a draft resolution on human rights in China at the 51st UN Commission on Human Rights in Geneva. The United Kingdom voted in favour of the resolution, which narrowly failed to pass. Prior to this, the UK voted against a Chinese motion proposing that no action be taken on the draft resolution.
