(2) how many abandoned former gas works sites there are in Wales.
§ Mr. Gwilym JonesThe survey of contaminated land sites in Wales published by the Welsh Office in 1988 identified 76 former or existing gas works sites in Wales. A number of these have been or are being decontaminated under the Welsh Development Agency's land reclamation programme. British Gas also has its own programme of works to survey and treat gasworks sites in its ownership which might give rise to off-site contamination.
