§ Mr. Robert B. JonesWe no longer specify financial limits on the overall amounts that local authorities can spend on councillors' remuneration allowances. We continue to specify ceilings on councillors' travel and subsistence allowances, and where any payments exceed those ceilings that is a matter for the district auditor.
