§ Mrs. BrowningMinisters have accepted the advice of the Advisory Committee on Novel Foods and Processes and cleared, on food safety grounds, a genetically modified baker's yeast; three chymosin enzymes; used in cheese production, derived from GM micro-organisms; a GM brewer's yeast; tomato paste from a GM tomato; processed food products derived from a GM soya bean; and two oils derived from GM oilseed rapes. To our knowledge, only the chymosins are currently in commercial use.
