To ask the Secretary of State for Health what percentage of(a) medical students and (b) consultants were women in each of the last five years. [30250]

The table shows the percentage of women medical students and consultants in the years 1989 to 1993 in England. We do not yet have figures for women medical students and consultants for 1994.
