§ Mr. Kynoch[holding answer 21 June 1995]: The boards of local enterprise companies are appointed by the enterprise bodies, not by my right hon. Friend. The members of the board serve as individuals, not as representatives of any particular interest. Where local enterprise company boundaries are due to change on 431W 1 April 1996, Scottish Enterprise will be taking steps to ensure that the composition of the local enterprise company board is consistent with its new geographical area.
