§ Lord James Douglas-Hamilton[holding answer 20 June 1995]: Payments totalling £4,050,000 have been made to 75 patients in Scotland who were infected with HIV through NHS treatment with blood, blood products or tissue transfer. Sixty three of these were haemophiliacs. Information available is on an all-Scotland basis and does not separately identify individuals according to area of residence.
