§ Mr. MacleanThe Government have already announced their intention to amend section 98, when a suitable legislative opportunity arises, to allow the Police Complaints Authority discretion to publish such information as is reasonably necessary to inform the public of the outcome of investigations, without derogation from the principle of confidentiality between the authority, complaints and those that provide information.
