To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many of those people convicted of driving without insurance in each of the past three years have been(a) under 20 years of age, (b) between 20 and 30 years of age and (c) over 30 years of age; [28335]

(2) how many people have been convicted of driving without insurance in each of the last three years. [28336]

The following table gives the available information which relates to the number of convictions for "using a motor vehicle uninsured against third party risks" in England and Wales for the years 1991 to 1993. Figures for 1994 are not yet available.
