To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will list the major hospital building projects in the London borough of Croydon completed since 1978–79 or now under construction or planned giving in each case the completion date and the amount of public money spent, expressed both in cash terms and in terms of today's prices. Records indicate that prior Treasury approval for the sale of assets has only once been sought between April 1992 and March 1995, which was in connection with the sale of Tadworth court to the Children's Trust.

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, pursuant to her answer of 6 June,Official Report, column 35, if she will list the procedures adopted by her Department to ensure that in appropriate circumstances a clawback provision is inserted in a rules contract allowing a health authority to obtain a share of any increase in development use; and if she will make a statement. The Department circulates procedures regarding land and property transactions through the estatecode series, copies of which are available in the Library. Responsibility for properly managing property transactions rests with individual health authorities.
