HC Deb 14 June 1995 vol 261 c535W
Mr. Rowe

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make it his policy that, in his consideration of bids for the procurement of attack helicopters for the British Army, he will take into account the capacity to fly operationally from the Royal Navy's aircraft carriers and assault ships. [28356]

Mr. Freeman

The capability for contenders in the attack helicopter competition to operate in support of amphibious operations from Her Majesty's ships was a feature of the invitation to tender. The resulting bid data are being considered as part of the overall technical assessment.
