HC Deb 06 June 1995 vol 261 c76W
Mr. Nicholas Brown

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales (1) how many patients have been struck off the registers of(a) fundholding general practitioners and (b) non-fundholding general practitioners in the last year for which figures are available; [26424]

(2) how many patients have been struck off the registers of general practitioners in each of the last 10 years for which figures are available. [26423]

Mr. Richards

The information requested is not collected routinely for Wales. However, information supplied by family health services authorities indicates that in 1993–94 just over 3,500 patients were transferred at the request of general medical practitioners or removed from GP lists because of an act or threat of violence. Separate details for fundholding and non-fundholding GPs are not available.
