To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many people, by speciality, have been awaiting initial out-patient appointments with consultants at the Ulster hospital for(a) more than one year and (b) more than two years; and if he will give the comparable figure for the Belfast City hospital. Information held centrally relating to patients waiting for their first outpatient appointment cannot be attributed to individual hospitals. Figures given in the table are trust totals and relate to out-patients who are still waiting for their first out-patient appointment at the end of March 1995.
