To ask the Parliamentary Secretary, Lord Chancellor's Department if legal aid is available to obtain child maintenance through the Child Support Agency; and if he will make a statement. [34296]

Full civil legal aid is only available for representation in proceedings through the courts and is not, therefore, available to obtain child maintenance through the Child Support Agency. However, if a person qualifies financially, he or she may obtain legal advice and assistance under the green form scheme.
