HC Deb 18 July 1995 vol 263 cc1135-6W
Mr. Ian McCartney

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many unfair dismissal cases were brought against his Department during the last 12 months; how many were successful; and what were the total costs including legal fees and compensation.

Mr. Michael Forsyth

[holding answer 14 July 1995]: There have been five complaints of unfair dismissal lodged with industrial tribunals against my Department in the last 12 months; none of these cases is concluded and I am unable therefore to give a figure for costs.
