The Secretary of State for Defence has asked the Chief Executive of the Naval Recruiting and Training Agency to reply to your Parliamentary Question concerning the projected intake of officer cadets and ratings into the Royal Navy for each of the next three years. I am replying in the absence of the Chief Executive.The projected target figures for the recruitment of RN officers and ratings for each of the next three years, are shown below. It should be recognised that these figures are projections only and as such are subject to periodic revision in order to reflect variations in outflow and requirement.
