To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will list projects funded in Nicaragua in 1994–95 through aid for (a) technical co-operation, (b) programme aid and (c) the Commonwealth Development Corporation. [33265]

The list of bilateral projects in Nicaragua funded in 1994–95 is as follows:

  1. (a) technical co-operation—
    • English language teaching project
  2. (b) programme aid—
    • nil (disbursements under the £600,000 programme aid grant signed in 1991 were completed in 1993–94).
  3. (c) Commonwealth Development Corporation—
    1. (i) Establishment of an export warehousing operation.
    2. (ii) Establishment of a shrimp farm.
