HC Deb 18 July 1995 vol 263 c1135W
Mr. McAvoy

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will estimate the capital costs of building a new maternity hospital at the royal infirmary as proposed by Greater Glasgow health board. [34799]

Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

[holding answer 17 July 1995]: Initial estimates received from Glasgow Royal Infirmary NHS trust indicate a capital cost of £21.195 million spread over four years. As the trust has yet to complete an outline business case for the project which will involve testing for private finance, the figure cannot be confirmed at this stage.
