§ Mr. Page[holding answer 10 July 1995]: The DTI has not considered arrangements to respond to the financial collapse of an individual business link because the Department is not aware of any instances where a business link is facing or is likely to face this situation.
Nevertheless I would expect the board of any business link facing or likely to face financial difficulties to consider all the options for continuing to provide business support in its locality, including a reduction in overheads and the potential for increasing income.
My officials would be ready to assist in any such examination.
