HL Deb 14 July 1995 vol 565 c124WA
Lord Kennet

asked Her Majesty's Government:

When they decided not to insist on the extension of the Non-Proliferation Treaty being described as "unconditional".

Baroness Chalker of Wallasey

There were no conditions agreed for the indefinite extension of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. The decision was accompanied by decisions on improving the review process and on principles and objectives for nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament.
