§ Mr. Macdonald
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will state the proposed schedule for contractorisation at the Royal Artillery range, Benbecula; and if he will give an assurance that Ministry of Defence personnel will be kept in place until civilian employees are ready to take on their duties.

§ Mr. Freeman
Consideration is currently being given to the most cost-effective means of operating the Royal Artillery range, Hebrides.
No firm proposals have yet been made and the existing contract is scheduled to be relet at the end of 1995.
