§ Mrs. Anne Campbell
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence when he expects to be able to receive and respond to communications via electronic mail.

§ Mr. Freeman
The office of the Secretary of State for Defence is able to receive and send electronic mail to some 6,500 users internally. This should rise to 9,000 users by the end of 1995 and 12,000 users by the end of 1996.
