§ Mr. SoamesSome 216 sites, totalling 11,779 acres, have been passed to the defence lands service for disposal. No sites have been identified on which the presence of unexploded munitions, radioactive material or chemical hazards would preclude their disposal. In accordance with current Government policy, the level of remediation required will depend on the proposed future use of the sites.
