To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what are the maximum legal blood alcohol levels for drivers in each European country. [7219]

The information is not readily available for all European countries. However, we do have details of legal blood alcohol limits for drivers in countries in the European Union and these are as follows:

Our advice to motorists is not to drink at all before or during driving. It was reiterated in the recent report of the interdepartmental group on sensible drinking.
