To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, if he will define the extent of proposed reductions in expenditure on the ACE training scheme in each of the three years covered in the 1995 public expenditure survey. [6444]

The proposed reductions in expenditure on the ACE training scheme in each of the three years covered in the 1995 public expenditure survey are as follows:

  • 1996–97: £12.5 million (23 per cent.)
  • 1997–98: £14.3 million (27 per cent.)
  • 1998–99: £11.4 million (21 per cent.).
