HL Deb 18 December 1995 vol 567 cc125-6WA
Lord Brabazon of Tara

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will produce a compliance cost assessment of the impact on United Kingdom airlines of implementation of proposed Private Member's legislation to move the United Kingdom to Western European Time prior to satisfactory renegotiation of take-off and landing slots at continental European airports.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Transport (Viscount Goschen)

The Government will be producing a compliance cost assessment of the proposed legislation. This will include an indication of the possible impact on airlines needed to reschedule their operations as a consequence of any change in UK time.
