Mr. Steen

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many different licences for instruments other than rod and line are required by law in order to fish in English rivers, what is the total licence duty received form each of these in each of the last two years, and if he will list the proposed increase in each licence for next year. The information requested is given in the table. For the sake of completeness the table includes data on instruments used in tidal estuaries and the sea. Details of licence duties applicable to instruments for catching eels have not been included.
