As you know, the Minister for Railways and Roads, Mr. John Watts, has asked me to reply to your recent Parliamentary Question asking the Secretary of State for Transport, when he expects to announce the award of the contracts for the A419 Latton Bypass and the A417 Cirencester/Stratton Bypass.As announced in Managing the Roads Programme published on 28 November, we have shortlisted bidders for the first four Design, Build, Finance and Operate (DBFO) projects, one of which embraces the Latton and Cirencester/Stratton Bypass schemes. Negotiations are continuing and we now expect to announce the award of the DBFO contract in the new year.
