§ Mr. RichardsEstimates of the number of children in each county in Wales for whom statements of special educational needs were made for the first time, for each year since 1987, are shown in the following table. Data for earlier years are not available on the same basis. Totals for Wales shown in the table reflect the county estimates and in respect of 1987 and 1988 should be substituted for those I gave the hon. Member in my reply of 17 March,Official Report, column 766.
Errors in the return to the Welsh Office from one county have been identified in the meantime.
