HC Deb 05 April 1995 vol 257 c1120W
Sir Wyn Roberts

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he has received a copy of the report of the inquiry team which investigated the abduction of Lydia Owens from Glan Clwyd hospital and if he will make a statement. [19245]

Mr. Richards

The inquiry team set up by Glan Clwyd NHS trust has completed its report and a copy has been placed in the Library of the House. I am satisfied that the circumstances have been thoroughly investigated and the board of the trust has accepted the recommendations, which are being implemented. All hospitals are reviewing their security arrangements and the chairman of the Glan Clwyd NHS trust has discussed the recommendations with the chairmen of other NHS trusts in Wales so that they can implement them where appropriate.
