§ Mr. Michael ForsythBoard members of the Horserace Totaliser Board are part-time public appointments for which the renumeration is £8,085. The post of chairman of the Tote is full time; the current salary for this post is £97,735 a year. The duties of board members include attending regular board meetings and Tote functions, advising on and participating in the board's policy and commercial decision-making process.
My right hon. and learned Friend announced on 28 February, Official Report, column 547, that Lord Wyatt would be reappointed, on the same conditions, for a further two-year term. At the same time, a review will be conducted of the Tote's future status.
