HC Deb 05 April 1995 vol 257 c1219W
Mr. Frank Field

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security when Mr. Barry Natton of Nab Wood, Noctorum road, Birkenhead, will receive a reply from the disability living allowance centre in Blackpool to a letter he wrote on 10 March 1994 and on which he sent reminder letters on 6 September 1994 and 5 January 1995. [18577]

Mr. Hague

The administration of disability living allowance is a matter for Mr. Michael Bichard, the chief executive of the Benefits Agency. He will write to the hon. Member.

Letter from Michael Bichard to Mr. Frank Field, dated 5 April 1995: The Secretary of State for Social Security has asked me to reply to your recent Parliamentary Question regarding correspondence from Mr Barry Natton to the Disability Benefits Unit. Unfortunately we have not been able to find any trace of the specific correspondence referred to within the Parliamentary Question despite extensive searches. I am concerned that there is an outstanding issue still to be resolved with the Benefits Agency. I have therefore arranged for a member of staff to visit Mr. Natton at his home to afford him opportunity to discuss any aspect of the case. I am sorry that my reply cannot be more helpful.
