§ Mr. DorrellThe Department of National Heritage is currently setting up a Internet electronic mail pilot and the arrangements for handling electronic mail to Ministers and the Department are under consideration. Electronic mail addresses have not yet been created.
The Department is monitoring developments in the area of the information super-highway and is involved in the DTI multimedia forum, the G7 information society activity, and with developments in the areas of broadcasting and other media services. A number of the Department's sponsored bodies are working on information super-highway issues and applications, and the Department is liaising with them, other interested Departments such as CCTA, and our partners in the European Union.
