HC Deb 04 April 1995 vol 257 c1025W
Mr. George Howarth

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department on how many occasions the criminal injuries compensation board used Mr. Richard Beattie to carry out psychological assessments on its behalf in the last five years; and how much the board paid for Mr. Beattie's work. [17268]

Mr. Maclean

Although my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State and my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland have joint responsibility for oversight of the criminal injuries compensation scheme, the day-to-day administration of the scheme and the handling of individual cases is a matter for the board itself, to which the hon. Member should direct his inquiries.
