asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether any applications by Mr. Gerald Ronson and Mr. Anthony Parnes for a review of their cases by the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) have been submitted to C3 Division of the Home Office; and, if so, on what date they were submitted and when a decision by the Home Secretary can be expected.

My right honourable friend received representations made on behalf of Mr. Ronson and Mr. Parnes between January and March 1993, and in February 1994. It has been necessary to make enquiries about some aspects of the representations. My right honourable friend expects to decide shortly whether or not there are grounds for him to refer these cases to the Court of Appeal or to take any other action.
