§ Viscount GoschenRailtrack's continuing commitment to safety is made clear in the railway group safety plan, which sets out industry safety objectives and the arrangements for managing safety. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) will continue to ensure that Railtrack, and other railway operators, comply with their statutory safety responsibilities. In accepting Railtrack's safety case the HSE has satisfied itself that Railtrack has the necessary procedures and policies in place to ensure the safe operation of the network. Railtrack's performance will continue to be monitored by HSE, to ensure compliance with the safety case.
