HC Deb 29 November 1994 vol 250 c653W
Mr. David Atkinson

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if orange badges for disabled drivers issued by one local authority are accepted by others; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Norris

Orange badges are valid throughout England, Scotland and Wales, except in the City of London, the city of Westminster, the royal borough of Kensington and Chelsea and a part of the London borough of Camden. Badges are also accepted under a similar parking scheme operating in Northern Ireland. In addition, access to certain town centres may be prohibited or limited to vehicles with special permits in addition to the orange badge.
