Mr. Fatchett

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will list, by grade, those members of his Department who have left the Ministry of Defence in the last two years to join Lockheed.

Applications were approved for the following: two Squadron Leaders, two Wing Commanders and one Air Vice-Marshal; of these the Air Vice-Marshal, at least, did not take up appointment.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will list how many officials in his Department have visited the Lockheed base at Georgia, United States of America over the last 12 months.

My Department does not keep a central record of visits made to companies overseas.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will list(a) the representations which he has received and (b) the meetings which he has held with Market Access International regarding the Lockheed C130J.

Mr. Freeman

I understand that my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Defence has neither received representations from Market Access International, nor met any of its personnel in connection with the Hercules rolling replacement programme.
