HC Deb 22 November 1994 vol 250 cc113-4W
Mr. Kynoch

: To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement about the review of the Forestry Authority.

Mr. Lang

I announced on 19 July,Official Report, column 185, that I was asking the director-general of the Forestry Commission to look at all aspects of the work carried out by the Forestry Authority with a view to improving the performance and efficiency of the organisation. This will involve a "prior options" study. I would welcome comments from interested parties. Those should be sent to "The Director-General, Forestry Commission, 231 Corstorphine road, Edinburgh, EH12 7AT", by 21 January 1995.
