What length of training officers of Her Majesty's Customs and Excise receive in immigration matters prior to acting as immigration officers.

Training of Customs officers acting as Immigration officers is carried out locally by the Immigration Service, the length of training depending upon individual circumstance and need. Any further advice or assistance which Customs officers may require is available from the nearest Immigration office.
