§ Lord StrathclydePlans which describe the uses to which it is intended to put the Community's Structural50WA Funds grants under Objective 5(b) were presented to the European Commission by the Government on 26th April. These plans contain the Government's proposals for the regional division of the 817 mecu of Objective 5(b) grant indicatively allocated to the UK as a whole by the Commission for the six-year period 1994–1999:

Additional grants will be available from "Community Initiatives", on which decisions are yet to be taken.
