How much each region of the United Kingdom is expected to benefit in each of the next five years under Objective 5(b) of the Structural Funds.

Plans which describe the uses to which it is intended to put the Community's Structural Funds grants under Objective 5(b) were presented to the European Commission by the Government on 26th April. These plans contain the Government's proposals for the regional division of the 817 mecu of Objective 5(b) grant indicatively allocated to the UK as a whole by the Commission for the six-year period 1994–1999:

The plans each include a proposal for an indicative annual breakdown of its grant.

Additional grants will be available from "Community Initiatives", on which decisions are yet to be taken.
