HL Deb 23 May 1994 vol 555 c23WA
Lord Beaumont of Whitley

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether it would not be in the interests of open government and of Parliament's responsibility to the dependent territories if the annual reports of the Governors of those territories to their Legislative Councils, and similar documents, were to be placed regularly in the Libraries of both Houses of Parliament and their publication and placement made known.

The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Baroness Chalker of Wallasey)

I shall arrange, where possible, for the annual reports and similar information documents produced by the governments of the British Dependent Territories, to be placed in the Libraries of both Houses of Parliament.
