§ Mr. Gwilym JonesThe total cash allocations to health authorities in Wales in these years were as follows:
£ million 1992–93 1,470,438 1993–94 1,400,863 The figures for 1993–94 are not comparable to those for 1992–93 because of several changes, in particular capital resourses were made available to NHS trusts which in 1993–94 increased to 14 in number. Training costs of professions allied to medicine were allocated to the newly created education and purchasing unit of the Welsh Health Common Services Authority, and resources were transferred from health authorities allocations to GP fundholders.
