§ Dr. MawhinneyOur aim is to appoint the best people we can to the boards of national health service authorities and trusts and to ensure that good candidates from ethnic minorities are given every encouragement to come forward. To this end, regional health authority chairmen are specifically encouraged to seek people from ethnic minorities when identifying candidates for chairman and non-executive positions.
