To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what further discussions are taking place between Government Departments on funding for the Commonwealth Institute after 1996.

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what view the Government have formed about the quality of the work of(a) the Scottish Commonwealth Institute and (b) the regional centre of the Commonwealth Institute in Bradford.

The educational work of the Commonwealth Institute, Scotland and the institute's office in Bradford has been positive and useful.
